Aim: The consumption of foods rich in sugar is linked to several non-communicable diseases, including dental caries. Coconut has systemic benefits due its lower glycemic indexes (GI) than other table sugars. However, there currently no data regarding cariogenic potential. This study aimed evaluate the effect coconut on acidogenicity and adhesion Streptococcus mutans vitro, compared sugarcane products. Materials methods: Aliquots cultures S.
